Testimonials

Kawayan Strength is the Best Pilates Studio for eliminating pain.

Nancy Wittenstein

This is the first place that actually explained my body.

PHILIP STEIN

I dealt with back pain for 30 years. Finally, in my 70s I have been pain-free since starting here 3 years ago.

DAVE HEALY

In my Initial Assessment, my hips had more mobility without stretching. In my second session my knee pain DISAPPEARED the moment they showed me how I was moving wrong.

WHAT NEW CLIENTS OFTEN ASK

  • 1. Do I need Pilates experience to start?

Not at all. Many clients begin with no prior Pilates experience. We tailor your first sessions to your current ability, goals, and comfort level.

  • 2. I’m dealing with pain or stiffness. Can I still come?

Yes. Many clients come to us because movement feels harder than it used to. We modify sessions appropriately and build a smart plan around your needs.

  • 3. What happens during my first visit?

Your first visit is complimentary and includes a conversation about your goals, movement history, and any concerns, followed by guided movement assessment and recommendations for your best next steps.

  • 4. Is this a workout or more personalized coaching?

Both. Every session is designed to improve how your body moves while helping you build strength, mobility, and confidence.

  • 5. What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can move in. Men should consider a compression layer under shorts. Grip socks are helpful for Pilates equipment sessions, but we can guide you if you’re unsure.

  • 6. How often should I come?

That depends on your goals, schedule, and starting point. Many clients begin 1–2 times per week for consistency and progress.

  • 7. I’m older / out of shape / haven’t exercised in years. Am I too late to start?

No. Many of our clients start later in life. Our focus is meeting you where you are and helping you build from there safely.

  • 8. Do you offer private sessions or group classes?

We offer private sessions and small-group training formats so clients receive meaningful coaching and individual attention.

  • 9. How is Kawayan Strength different from a typical Pilates studio?

We combine Pilates with biomechanics-informed coaching and strength principles to create more personalized, results-driven sessions.

  • 10. How do I get started?

Simply book an Intro Assessment and we’ll guide you from there.
